Oh it's much worse than that. I got a letter mid December asking me to apply online for a renewal. I tried several times over a week but could never find it. So I contacted parking services who replied cheerily saying I couldn't do it online as that part wasn't working. But they had only sent one form for two cars, so I filled it in for both, added a cheque for £90 - twice the single rate given on the form that6 THEY sent me, wrote a covering letter explaining and went on hols expecting two permits to be delivered by the time I returned. Nothing, so I emailed. Today I get a snail mail letter rejecting my application because they are treating it as a new one not a renewal, telling me the cheque is for the wrong amount, and insisting I had applied online. Plus they returned my letter, unread and unreplied to. Plus I get an email saying - and I quote "I have checked our records & we have not yet received your renewal application. It is not in any of the post in our office that is waiting to be processed & has not yet been renewed." And all they can now suggest is that either I trek over to Percival House in the snow to sort out their incompetence or that I wait for them to send me new forms and use my parking vouchers to ensure I don't get tickets when my permit expires at the weekend. What a shower! And will anyone at Ealing Council do anything constructive about it? You can bet not. And be equally sure that if their minions can give me a ticket for not having a correct permit, they will as soon and as often as possible. |
