You'll find quite a bit on this site about parking issues, too. Unfortunately, although even if Ealing Council gets matters straight on policy etc, there are always people working in the parking office and as wardens (aka Civil Enforcement Officers) who do not have the correct information for whatever reason. There is a history of confusion with new parking zones: See http://www.actonw3.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conparking01.htm And http://www.actonw3.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conparking01.htm Regarding Zone K, please read the following: http://www.actonw3.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conparking04.htm http://www.actonw3.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conparking07.htm I suggest you contact one of your local councillors if you are having problems - they should be able to help. Their contact details can be found in the Community/Local Government section of the site. I believe nothing has changed since I last received an assurance that Zone K1 residents are allowed to park anywhere in Zone K. I would be amazed if Ealing Council changed the rules without informing everyone concerned. PS: I think I've always paid £25 for my parking permit ever since Zone K1 was introduced. I have a letter on file telling me the zone will be operating on April 30th 2008. This is not a new charge, unless your road has recently joined Zone K1. I think someone in the parking office is giving you the wrong information. Do you have the name of the person you spoke to? |
