| Today I got a letter in from Ealing Council viz Parking Permit renewal asking for £45. I went to apply online only to discover that in typical Ealing Council fashion, the website's a mess and Parking Permit renewal cannot be done online. What it did day on the site, however, is that the Parking Permit charge for Zone K1 is NOT £45 as it says in Ealing Council's letter, but £25. To check this, I phoned the Council who confirmed that their letter advising all residents in my bit of Poets Corner to pay them £45 for the Parking Permit in Zone K1 was an error on their part and the charge is indeed £25! I wonder if all those good folk in Zone K1 who pay the £45 in error without checking will be given their money back?? This is yet another major cock up from our incompetent (and in this instance money grubbing) council. Jane |
