….clearly the reinstatement of your licence in 2004 during your conviction was wrong, and Police Sergeant Nigel Charlton merely corrected that wrong by revoking your licence in 2005…with spectacular cunning too –  and good on him! It really isn’t like a knife amnesty at all; an amnesty is an amnesty is an amnesty whereas there was no drinks licensing amnesty to facilitate you regaining one in 2004. I sense your frustration but I feel Nigel Charlton has done a right thing here.  I grew up on Shakespeare road and have very fond memories of ‘the tuck shop’ (as it was known then).
