Topic: Is honesty the best policy?

I had a License to sell alcohol in my shop since 1987.  I got a drink driving conviction in 2003.  My license was renewed in 2004 during my conviction.  Last year everyone was asked to renew their license to sell alcohol under the new 2003 licensing law.  Within the application form there was a questionnaire about convictions, I declared that I had a conviction thinking that this would not be held against me as my license had already been renewed during my conviction.  To my horror, Police Sergeant Nigel Charlton PS25XB (telephone number 020 8246 1253) revoked my license in September 2005 without my knowledge which meant that I was selling alcohol illegally for 5 months.  Nigel Charlton, who used his arrogance and new power with disregard to the new 2003 act, went behind my back and used the 1964 act to revoke my license.  It is just like when the government gives a knife amnesty,  an officer like Nigel Charlton would get the knife out, get a DNA profile on it and convict a person.  Like honesty - how many people have been convicted for amnesty?  Dear People, pls help if you can on how I can resolve this matter.  I really need your help.  I am only a small business and I cannot afford solicitor fees, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
