Donald, Ealing Council seem to have the time and money to endear themselves to developers, but not when they have to spend money informing residents of developments next door or nearby to them, i.e. planning notification letter. This leads me to conclude that they are like some quisling for the developer. Also for the present Ealing Council, it seems that showing off how virtuous they are, e.g. supplying PPE is a public service paid with the peoples money, but running a public facility like the Acton Reuse and Recycling Centre isn't, or again, informing people of planning developments isn't.
No Westminster Squeeze on the raising of councillors allowances, but at the same time libraries are being run down. The present rulers of Ealing seem disingenuous. They seem to think that showing off how virtuous they are is a public service that people have to pay for, but running public services, like libraries or the Acton Reuse and Recycling Centre is not. |
