Proposal to close Acton Reuse and Recycling Centre, leaving the larger Greenford Reuse and Recycling Centre open. The move to consolidate its recycling operations to one main site would bring Ealing in line with other London boroughs. Residents living east of the borough who normally use the Acton site will be able to use the site at Abbey Road, in Park Royal? This goes totally against Ealing’s much promoted climate change policy, forcing people to take a ten mile round trip to Greenford, or an eight mile round trip to Abbey Road, Park Royal. Not even sure Ealing residents can use the Abbey Road trip as it is run by Brent Council? This has nothing to do with budget cuts and everything to do with removing all employment from South Acton and building unaffordable, family unfriendly towers for off-shore investment. It will also encourage fly-tipping. Express your concern to the CLLRs for south Acton Mr Sabiers or Yvonne Johnson Email: mik.sabiers@ealing.gov.uk Landline: 020 8992 5014 Mob: 07867 538 646 Email: Johnsoy1@ealing.gov.uk You could not get a more stupid council Leader and cabinet if you tried, two of whom are ward councillors for South Acton and supposedly live in the Ward? https://ealingnewsextra.co.uk/.../ealing-council-tax.../ |
