| George the sweepers will be the same people being passed over under the TUPE rules and regulations from the old contractor to the new. It is the schedules which appear to have been changed and the operatives moved to other locations. Or, in the extreme have been made redundant in order that the new contractor can save some money. A copy of the redacted contract would make everything clearer with regard to the schedules/frequencies/number of staff/number of vehicles working on the contract, etc. Someone needs to get hold of a copy asap. I would suggest that Cllr. Mahfouz better go through a steep learning curve as the Councillor responsible for waste management, else he will find himself out of a job - who did vote for him? |
