| Went to the exhibition this afternoon: some of the redevelopment ideas are quite good but the housing provision is, as suspected, very dense indeed, and very large. 5 stories along Churchfield Road, rising to 8 and then 10 further back. I registered severe reservations... and suggested they added a doctors surgery. The adviser there thought that might be feasible as they have office space allowance but don't think there is a demand. A 'good quality' supermarket is proposed apparently aimed to cater for the more affluent households north of Churchfield Road... Hard luck on the current customers of Netto. |
