| Sheldon, i pointed out at last night's meeting that i still believe the house at 91 Shakespeare Road can be saved. I had a conversation a few weeks ago with one of our local councillors regarding how the property would make a wonderful nursery unit for Derwentwater school thereby easing the overcrowding of the school. He thought it a brilliant idea and did suggest to me that the council could make a compulsory purchase on the property if this was viable. This may be something for DARE to raise and push for. The house itself is structurally sound contrary to what some may believe and could be easily renovated/extended to make a wonderful nursery and play area. |
