We have about 2 weeks to protest this latest round of 'changes'. I suggest that we put the details to one side (Oaks screen, corner tower, etc.) for now and concentrate on the really big issue - that we don't want a gated community right in the heart of Acton. If the centre of the development could be opened up to public access (and such access would go down to the High Street), that would satisfy many of our main objections. The development would not be so monumental and would involve itself with the community surrounding it. I will be making this my main objection to the plans at the moment. I think the developers keep making changes to the detail so that we will be swamped by them. In the meantime, the main issue remains unaddressed. Does anyone know the easiest way to send in an objection to the Planning Department? I did find out that the Oaks' reference no. is PP/2012/3154, but I've been going round in circles trying to discover if there is a convenient online form to fill in. If we can find this out, or discover the least time-consuming way of objecting another way, we can publicise this in the little time we have left so that the council receives as many objections from the community as possible. And remember: it's the big picture we should be concentrating on now! |
