| Is anyone else as fed up as I am with the roundabout layout next to Acton Town station? For the past few months the rush hour trafic has been appalling. Some mornings it takes me 15 - 20 minutes to drive 1 mile from the Uxbridge Road/Steyne Road junction down to Gunnersbury Ave. The traffic is log jammed because of the steady stream of pedestrians using the zebra crossing on Bollo Lane and vehicles blocking the roundabout. Last Monday I saw at least 4 cars u-turn to get out of the jam. I've contacted Ealing Council who told me that the current set up will be made permanent with some adjustments. They said that studies have shown that the traffic flow is better, but I've asked to see these as it certainly hasn't improved at peak times. |
