| Why would the shops be empty? The property market is going through a tough time atm but it's cyclical and a new cycle will start in the next few years, i remember the same thing happened in 2007/2008. Housing and the change in demographics drive the regeneration of an area, which in turn drives the need for better amenities. Gentrification and regeneration takes time. From what i can see on this forum people would rather keep the status quo than any sort of change simply because they can't appreciate that change isn't instantaneous or don't feel that the neighborhood's worth it or would appreciate it. The - that will never work in Acton crowd. Maybe i am more glass half-full than glass half-empty. |
