Don, you can contact local Old Bill via these routes, which might allow you to speak to a real person who can act or who can push things on to someone who can. Perhaps offer to email them some pics. http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Ealing/ActonCentral http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Ealing/EastActon Tell Old Bill you are also reporting it to the people listed below, and get the local police's email to copy them in on your email. Then, email the local councillors for East Acton and Acton Central with details of the problem and fact you have reported it to Old Bill, as suggested by John Freeman from Ealing Council (see email reproduced at end of this message): http://ealing.cmis.uk.com/ealing/Councillors/tabid/63/ScreenMode/Ward/Default.aspx And copy in the Ealing Council leader and transport lead councillor: Julian.bell@ealing.gov.uk Bassam.mahfouz@ealing.gov.uk And Angie Bray MP: angie.bray.mp@parliament.uk And John Freeman from Ealing's Pollution Technical Team, who regulates the industrial site, and who has suggested telling Old Bill about breaches by lorries as road safety is police responsibility: freemanj@ealing.gov.uk His email to Nikki Howard from a few days ago after the Horn Lane industrial site meeting said: "From John Freeman at Ealing Council. "Further to my previous e-mail about overweight vehicles using Horn Lane bridge I have now been advised by the Council’s Highways department that residents should report any suspected overweight vehicles directly to the Metropolitan Police. Contravening a weight restriction of this kind is still a criminal offence and is not one of the traffic contraventions such as stopping in a yellow box junction that is enforced by local authorities. The police number to use is 101. Further information on using this number can be found at http://content.met.police.uk/Site/101. "I am sorry for the delay in obtaining the correct information, however I hope that residents will now be able to provide details of vehicles to the police." Kind regards.
