I certainly do not want a Wheelie Bin, nor do I want those stupid biodegradable bags for garden rubbish and I will certainly be emailing Julian Bell and the Councillors for Acton Central. We are entitled to be consulted if they are going to make these changes, as mentioned earlier in this discussion we voted AGAINST Wheelie Bins the last time! Where are we supposed to keep these ugly things? I believe they are also difficult to keep clean, especially problematic for the elderly, those with back problems and so on. The present system has been working perfectly well so I fail to see why it must be changed unless it is just another way to raise revenue. We were promised that the weekly collection would remain, so much for promises. I can forsee more flytipping in the area and this will do absolutely nothing to improve recycling. |
