http://www2.ealing.gov.uk/services/environment/recycling/ The Council provides a lockable food waste bin, green box for recycling and reusable white bag for plastics and pinky orange reusable bag for garden waste. Black bags are no longer provided for residual waste. We can recycle so much in Ealing that there should be very little left to go into the residual waste bag. Keeping what is left in a normal sized dustbin stops any problems with vermin. If you line the dustbin and tip residual waste into it (lots of bins have bucket liners inside with a handle) then you will have more room than if you fill it with lots of smaller bags. You also will not have this problem then: Bag like this /\ not fitting into dustbin like this \/. What you can recycle in the green box is listed here: http://www2.ealing.gov.uk/services/environment/recycling/green_box_collection/ Unfortunately LBE do not have any PDF sheets with the info on their website for you to print off for yourself which is a shame as it would be useful for residents. The first reference above gives you access to info on all the recycling boxes etc and what goes in them. We all end up paying extra tax for the people who don't pull their weight. Landfill Tax is set to rise each and every year. |
