| When Labour were last in power, residents were paying 50p per pink sack, so £40 to get half the current service seems like a variation on a familiar theme. Wheelie bins were rejected in Acton when residents were consulted about refuse and recycling a few years ago, in part because storing them can be difficult in the many terraced streets in the area. When one factors in the extra costs of dealing with the increased fly tipping that this proposal will generate, this looks like a false economy. |
