| I use my small but reliable car (Vauxhall Cresta) minimally, walking a lot and taking public transport when I can. I am retired and was hoping that my 20 year old car would do me the rest of my driving life. Now I find that we are just inside the new ULEZ and I am being forced to buy a car that I may not trust and that I cannot really afford! Any solutions? Maybe I should pay the £12.50 a day when I use it but I am pretty sure it would not be beyond Ealing Council to introduce higher parking charges for 'polluting' vehicles as Merton Council are already threatening! |
