| Fair comments Sarah.My post is a too negative,re-reading it but was thinking mainly of South Acton and the high st.Late at night and in the early hrs there are more blokes hanging around methinks but this is not specific to just Acton. I used to live in Acton more moons ago than I care to remember and I think it is poorer for not having the charming little cinema,the splendid Acton Grill,Fisher's snooker hall and the aromatic Kadiri on Acton Vale. I have friends who live who have lived on Berrymead Gdns for 25 yrs and they feel there has been a decline in their area as regards late night noise and the street behaviour of some locals.I'm sure it's still a good place to live and I do sometimes look at the past through the old rose tinteds but there are elements of what I posted that are true. |
