| I disagree with you Keith - having lived in Acton for over twenty years I have seldom seen it so prosperous. The shops and services are better in Churchfield Road - apart from the loss of the red and green bookshop in pre-history - there are many more places to eat and drink with enjoyment and in comfort. Derwentwater school is thriving and has a strong PTA. The park has an open cafe and much better play facilities - and we are about to get an outrdoor gym there I'm told. Many people are neighbourly, there are more community activities - in this part of Acton at least. We have an engaged MP, less grafitti than a decade ago, more trains (except on Sundays till May), Xmas lights and this website. I don't see it all falling apart or going downhill |
