Reply from North Acton Councillor Daniel Crawford: Thank you for your email dated 21 November 2024. I regret that I have only just received a response from the Council department who produced the leaflet you were asking about and can now answer the questions you are asking. The current cost of an hour-long visitors’ permit is 90p and an all-day permit costs between £1.60 and £4.95 (depending on the hours of operation of the CPZ in which you live). The prices of these permits will change from Friday 13 December. Hour-long permits will be priced at £1 and all-day permits will be priced between £2 and £6. The precise price will vary dependent on the duration of the parking restrictions in each CPZ. The cost of an all-day permit will be £1 for each hour during the parking restrictions – and capped at 6 hours. So, the new price for the current zone in our ward will be £2. The charges are detailed in full on the Council’s website and any additional queries can be directed to parkingservices@ealing.gov.uk I agree that how this was explained in the leaflet accompanying the CPZ consultation was both unclear and confusing. I have written to officers about this and I shall be having further meetings about the Council’s communications. I hope this information is helpful and I apologise once again for the delay in getting back to you.
