And, of course, it will mean more cash in the Council's coffers: at the moment I can tell my plumber/builder (or any visitor) to arrive after 10am - if people leave by 3pm, no visitor's permit is required. If they change the CPZ hours to all day, it will cost a minimum of £1 (for a hour) - longer than that it will be £6 for a daily permit (not to mention the hassle of struggling with the PayByPhone website... The only time the roads round here are fully parked is in the evening when all residents have returned home. |
