| I'd like to say that they are that cunning, but I don't think they are! Who knows. But if the plan is to sideline an active bunch of Streetwatchers, rather than tackle the problem of unmet contracts, then they are foolish. Not for one moment will I nor the likes of me, I'm sure, remain quiet or distant! On the contrary. I always wondered whether having Streetwatchers was a really neat trick by the Council to quieten rather noisy and active residents? We were certainly made to feel "on board" with things and therefore, I worried, less likely to complain? Of course, it didn't stop me and to my mind it was a stroke of genius, getting the most active and loud residents on board. Genius. |
