| It does make you wonder about the Labour group's political nous. Why would anyone in local government want to at a stroke alienate the most committed, active and articulate of your local citizens? It doesn't make sense from a purely political point of view. And the rationale can't be to say one paltry salary surely. So is it the council is SO troubled by the Enterprise contract failure that they need to distance noisy, engaged, demanding, connected streetwatchers from the sharp end of the environment brief. I can't see another rationale - maybe if there is one, the leader or his colleagues would care to explain it to us. |
