David : Yes, i too think it's the moral thing to do and pay this young girl. Needless to say, my 'Beauty' regime has no 'Base' at this establishment and nor will it ever be the case. Sara: The young girl did in fact ask many questions, one of those being the pay factor and was told it would be the minimum wage. Yes, i do know that the big corporate companies employ staff on these basis but at least there employees are aware of the fact before they join. Totally immoral and shocking i agree but with the high qualifications they have worked so hard for, any placement is still hope for paid employment in the future with the same company. Angela : A very lucky escape indeed !! She has now passed it over as a bad experience and has moved on to better pastures as they say. With the little experience she does have in the job hunting market i think she did pretty well........Took in her CV, dressed appropriately, asked questions she thought relevant, hours, pay and days to be worked etc. Just a shame the owner of the salon coulden't have been as professional and as honest as her.........Pure exploitation. Thank you for your good wishes. |
