| I think idiots in the highways department is fair enough. What idiot would design that roundabout outside Morrison's the back up traffic in Horn Lane so far that the jam on most days goes beyond the turn-off to the boundary road around Churchfield Road? What idiot would design an LTN in Acton, when there is only a boundary road on one side because of the railway, so all through traffic is forced down one road, as well as the added created traffic by cars from inside the LTN having to go around it? What idiot would not see that creating the LTN wold create new rat-runs in Newburgh Road and Pierrepoint Road, right past primary schools? What idiot would force added traffic onto Horn Lane when it is already the most polluted road in the borough? I could go on. It is not about having a different point of view, it is about putting in plans that the vast majority of people saw were horribly flawed and sticking with them. Oh yeah, here's another one, what idiot would impose an LTN without taking any reliable form of data from before and after the LTN was imposed, leaving the supporters to constantly refer to data relating to Waltham Forest to claim it is a good idea? |
