Think you'll find Rupa was told to abstain by her party so not her fault . . . Read Guardian comment . . . 'MPs also overwhelmingly rejected an amendment calling for a second referendum. Labour ordered its MPs to abstain, believing the timing to be wrong, and only 85 MPs voted for a referendum that would have had remain as an option.' & CNN News Source . . . UK lawmakers rejected a move to give the British public a second referendum, dealing a blow to campaigners for a so-called People's Vote. Members of Parliament voted 85 to 334 against a proposal to hold a new vote to break the deadlock in the Brexit process. The opposition Labour Party told its MPs to abstain from the vote. |
