If someone has to use google street view to see the location of the store then I would think it's none of their business.

The latest article says a banner announcing the opening of the outlet was put up 16 to 18 months ago.

Was the affected local community blind for more then a year?

Why is it that this suddenly became an issue if the application was approved in May of 2008?

Even if the council did not cared or bothered consulting the local community someone should had raised those concerns a year ago.

Directly across the street from the school there is Tesco and a pizza place...

If kids need to eat before school then I think the fault is with the parents not a fast food outlet. Kids should eat breakfast at home before going to school.

If kids have money to spend on junk food after school I wonder where they are getting the money from?

It should be up to parents to decide what their kids eat after school. If you are a concerned parent then there is a simple solution to the problem: prohibit your child from eating at the fast food outlet.

If all concerned parents prohibit their kids from eating there then the shop will not be profitable in a long run... it's a business and it will close if there is no money to be made.

And please don't tell me that you as  a parent can't control where and when your kids eat.
