| I've got five children. I like them very much. I also have no objection to fun. However I don't take my children to this 'funfair' and every year the answer is 'no'. It's very expensive, it is a nightmare in terms of keeping an eye on wandering children,the combination of smells ( diesel, burgers and candy floss) gives me the heaves. It's ugly and noisy and panic inducing. The men on the wurlitzer think screaming means "Spin me faster till I puke". "Kids love them" doesn't move my stony heart either. They also love the Disney channel on Sky and Happy Meals, and they'd have mars bars for breakfast. Call me a fun fascist but i can think of better ways of entertaining my children than the loathesome assault on the senses called a 'fun' fair. |
