The Chair of the Council's Planning Committee told 10 of us residents on 12 September that lawyers had advised the Council not to contest the JLP development in West Ealing. Given that the Council was hammered legally in the nearby Manor Road tower appeal because it had no 5 year land supply plan and no annual reporting of home building completions, this would have been repeated in the JLP appeal. One wonders how close Ealing Planning Department is to be put into Special Measures by the Government? (20/09/24 02:12:00 Thelma Leach) Does this suggest that Ealing Planning Department are entirely reliant on developers fees to actually function on a day-to-day basis? Does not Labour run Ealing Council pay it's planning staff or are they reliant on their wages being paid by developers? Does Labour run Ealing Council get paid by developers to be deliberately inept and not produce any records of house building completions? WHAT INCENTIVISES LABOUR RUN EALING COUNCIL TO BE THE DEVELOPERS LACKEY? |
