Does anybody have a theory as to why Ealing Council isn't contesting the John Lewis development in West Ealing? Is it something to do with avoiding a bill for costs? Looking again at some of the projects being proposed in South Acton, they seem to be very officer-driven with the argument being made that, although they are against local plans an objection would be overruled on appeal. However with a Labour Secretary of State in place you would hope that more support would be given to London Council's with the emphasis switching to the Home Counties to carry more of the burden of housing starts. |
