| The subject I believe is free schools and the ethics of a local protaganist - Toby Young. Unfortunately the documentary that was supposed to dispel criticism has only confirmed my worse fears and that, I feel, is what should be debated. Why has Toby Young got a license to follow his peronsal 'vision', when the majority of parents actually work quite hard at making the best of local schools and supporting the staff there to achieve more. Acton High is a great school - if you want a classical education choose the subjects that pertain to that- they are available at local schools or schools are prepared to submit students for additional exam subjects. We do not need to build separate empires, just build on the existing foundations for our 'Big Society' to grow. |
