| Can you be a straw man and a tall poppy - to mix agricultural metaphors? If so, you are it. Maybe people resent the unremiting self-publicity that seems to be the major product- or possibly byproduct - of your campaign so far. You know yourself that doing things through the media is high-risk. You've taken the risk. It may pay off in the long term but in the short time is predictably painful. |
