Yes, it's come to pass. Ealing Council has once more excelled itself and been granted dunce of the year award in how to seriously offend the residents and Council Tax Payers, whilst wasting our money hand over fist through incompetence. Firstly, Ealing Council Parking Services are exposed as charging nearly double what they were entitled to for two years for parking permits in certain streets in Zone K1, Acton. When the Council is finally forced to admit its error, selected Acton Zone K1 residents are then sent an apology from Ealing Council and our money back. Because this letter is so entirely unclear as to which parts of Acton said residents are actually entitled to park in, the Council gets windy and so HAND DELIVERS further letters of apology to residents in an attempt to clarify the situation stop further adverse media coverage. Whilst waiting for my new £25 Zone K1 residents parking permit to arrive, which it did today, I have two parking tickets slapped on my car because my permit is out of date due to the fact that Ealing could not find its way out of a paper bag when it comes to parking permits. I have written to Ealing Parking Services today, copying in Councillor Vlod Barchuk and explaining that I plan to have a very fine time contesting these tickets with the Parking and Traffic Appeals Service (PATAS), where I will be inviting selected of the media to join the show and enjoy the display muchly. You couldn't make it up if you tried. Jane |
