I had a phone call from TfL the other day in response to the first of my emails, about the temporary 30mph signs on the eastbound. The caller said that this was due to one of the viaduct joints needing attention. I pointed out that, while that was a plausible reason for some sort of restriction, any temporary speed limit needed to be terminated, and anyway there wasn't actually a ramp as signed. But more importantly, one viaduct joint couldn't justify the covering up of the 50mph repeater signs on both carriageways, etc. He agreed that he needed to investigate further. I await his next call with interest. |
