Below is the email I received back from the Town Hall Team. Not too difficult for me as it's weekend & evening so I'll supply my 100 words and let you know how I get on. "Thank you for your email which you sent to Nilam yesterday. Being on the team will require your attendance at the following three events this year: ‘Understanding the buildings and facilities’ – an audit Saturday 17 October 2009, 10am - 1pm This workshop will include a tour of the Town Hall, Library, Baths and the Priory Centre, and will allow the Acton Town Hall team to discuss their views on the current facilities. ‘Learning from other places’ – a visit to see conservation-led regeneration projects Saturday 14 November 2009, 10am – 4pm (transport& refreshments provided)This visit will take the team to see two or three successful conservation-led regeneration projects in London, places that share the same aspirations as Acton. ‘Setting the principles for Acton’s community facilities’ – adesign workshop Wednesday 18 November 2009, 5.30pm – 8.00pm This workshop will bring together the team’s findings from the previous two events to consider the future design opportunities for the facilities. Please tell us whether you're able to attend all three events, we would prefer it if it you were able to ensure continuity. We are asking people who are interested in participating in the Acton Town Hall team to tell us, in no more than 100 words, what you would bring to the team and why you should be on it. Please can you therefore send us your 100 words? Your place is not guaranteed until we have confirmed it. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any further information." |
