Nina, thanks for that. Of course you are! There are many things wrong with the consultation process. Who actually represents the resident's of Acton? I think those who do not choose to join a group because they do not agree with their strategies and policies have real problems, and the Council too, because the 'consultation group' can get very large and unproductive and lead to discussion which does not come to any conclusions. Which results in the Council making the decisions for them. I think it would be helpful if those organising the meeting could let us know: 1. who has been invited 2. who will be attending the meeting Then those who know the views of those attending and agree with them, will then not need to attend the meeting. Those who do not, could then attend. Make sense? |
