| My idea of a jolly trip to the cinema might well be to a Rom-com. I love them. Also I love Anne Hathaway. So seeing a movie in which she is the mature love interest for a young boy-band star, 16 years her junior (and maybe modelled on Harry Styles) is a bit of a dream gig for me.. Think Notting Hill but with social media not just paparazzi - and tbh not quite such brilliant dialogue. Nicholas Galitzine stars opposite and the relationship is believable and fizzy. The least likely part is why her sleaseball ex husband would have ever left her in the first place… There’s a little too much concerty stuff - so a bit long -and the dialogue is OK rather than stunning. But I and the others in the long queue for the ladies loo afterwards all said we had thoroughly enjoyed it. |
