| Update - I have just been informed that the Environment Agency 0800 80 7060 are liasing with Ealing Council concerning the pollution emanating from the Horn Lane site. And good news - the site is now being monitored more closed and regularly. My concern is with the wind borne problem which ends up in the Goldsmith Area / Poets Corner area of Acton as those living there do not appear to be aware of the problem. The problem particulates do not smell and cannot be seen. The Mr. Skipper of the Environment Agency who is monitoring the site would welcome residents in the area informing both him (0800 80 7060) and Ealing Council (customers@ealing.gov.uk) should you be experiencing any health problems, ie, difficulty in breathing / coughing, etc, and also burning smells - especially when the particulate levels are high. The particulate levels are published daily on the front page of the ActonW3 site, right hand side. This will help him and Ealing Council in their monitoring of the site - particularly with any health health problems being caused by the air borne particulates emanating from the site. |
