Have they done the local electrion count? I assumed it was because they were doing the parly seats sequentially to save money rather than employ several teams (which is probably why the polling debacle: just not enough desks at each station.

The electoral commission should be comparing the provision this timne wuith previous elections and I bet they find fewer staff than hitherto in the underserved stations.
