So we were still a 3-way marginal after all. I think we've had a good election here, although for the life of me I can't understand why the result was so late. In the aftermath I feel the need to say two things: - congratulations to Angie Bray. I hope that she will be an MP respected even by her opponents; - commiserations (yet contratulations too) to my friend Bassam, who fought brilliantly against a relentless tide of assertion that Labour could not be a contender in this seat.He knew differently, and now so does everyone else. Well done to Andy Slaughter, by the way, who held Hammersmith against the odds. Until the rematch! |
