I wonder why owners are allowed to leave properties derelict and neglected for years, this in turn attracts squatters, flytipping, rats and so on. Apart from that it is a blight on the landscape, and absolute eyesore for neighbours. Not to mention problems in the neighbourhood sometimes associated with people living in a squat.

We passed by recently and it looks absolutely awful, who would want to live near this location?

Why can't the Council make a compulsory order and ensure that action is taken to make this property habitable once again. After all there is supposed to be a shortage of housing!
