| Ealing's new trees have QR Codes and information on them from Trees for Cities to encourage residents to adopt a tree and help in keeping them alive by water. Please don't just walk on by if you see one suffering! Instead of using a watering can I've found it easier to fill an empty 4-pint empty milk bottle with water. They have a handle and a lid and are easier to manage up and down stairs. If you don't buy milk like this (we don't) you may find that you have a neighbour who does who will be happy to help you out with one or two. When a street tree is cut down it is very noticeable at the moment how much shading has been lost! Please try not to let any new ones die! |
