Would your employer be happy if you asked your colleagues to do your job for you? Would your colleagues be happy to do the job you are paid to do? Do you think that a council concerned about providing housing would do this https://youtu.be/tj2oMO1MJJk or this https://youtu.be/80-1V6dgXfo? There seems to be plenty of money for cycling despite the number of people cycling being small and stagnant, yet there is no money for things that would benefit the majority of people such as fixing the Elizabeth line platform gap https://metro.co.uk/2025/03/28/elizabeth-line-gap-hurt-passengers-wont-fixed-another-four-years-22804390/ or making London safer https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/met-police-budget-cut-funding-fears-sadiq-khan-mark-rowley-b1220165.html Although it is true that many funding problems come from the previous government, it is also true there would more money in the public purse if TfL had fewer employees earning above £100k https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-0920-2425, or if Khan didn't waste money on vanity projects such as renaming the Overground or if we didn't have to face the costs of all the litigations involving Khan https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/sadiq-khan-loses-court-battle-over-inadequate-swiss-cottage-cycle-superhighway-a3935141.html, https://www.thetimes.com/uk/transport/article/tfl-ltn-london-councils-jswm2slhr |
