Last film I saw in 2020 via festival streaming platform so just makes it before 2021 releases kick in!

Documentary filmed over two years of the Mayor of Ramallah, which is apparently the de facto capital of Palestine even though Israeli settlements seem to dominate the skyline around the town. Interesting in that the mayor Musa Hadid is a Christian and not a Muslim but seems to enjoy popular support in the area he governs.

Real "fly on the wall" style shooting by American David Osit as we follow the attempts of the mayor to break away from the blame game that perpetuates between Palestine and Israel and especially amongst his elected Palestinian colleagues and to move instead to promote Ramallah to the world as something to be proud of.

I found it a very refreshing outside look at a thorny issue that does not take sides but allows the events observed to speak for themselves. You will definitely have formed some views by the end of its 90 minutes!
