In regards to this customer dispute, let me clarify this for everyone. 1) She bought in the laptop saying there was nothing on screen. Preliminary diagnosis suggested it was graphic issue but we later found out the screen was also faulty. We told her what happened and she agreed to go ahead with updated price. £150 charge was for screen and the graphic issue. Additional £50 was for reinstalling OS as it was corrupted due to virus. Like all our customers, she was informed every steps of the way in repair process. 2) Two weeks later she brought laptop back with cracked/broken screen demanding to be replaced again under warranty. We told her it was clear accidental damage which is not covered by our warranty. After closer inspection, we found out the lower right hand corner part of the screen had been hit by hard object. We explained to her by emails and face to face. We advised her to contact third party computer repairer to get the damage assessed. If the report says the screen was damaged by itself, we will foot the bill and replace it for free. We even offered her to replace the screen at cost price. She doesn’t want to accept any of that. Most of you probably has used our services before. We have been trading in Acton for more than 10 years. Needless to say we always bend over backwards to make all of our customers happy. In this case, we can only do as much. Acton Computers |
