Thanks George…. Many of the 100 shared ownership residents are currently gathering their evidence together to apply for an LVT. For the 64 social housing rented properties, there is no such luxury as they are on “fixed service charges” and so can’t even apply to an LVT. For some people it has created a poverty trap because a part time job won’t even cover the cost of the service charges let alone anything else. Like you say it’s a very complicated and costly process and one that sadly some residents have felt is just too much aggravation. |
