I walk past the development on the North side (Churchfield Road side) every day. And I'm still not used to how horrible it looks. For somebody to think black, grey, ecru and orange is a good aesthetic for a new build of flats is shocking. Add to that, orange squiggles on the glass - how are you supposed to look out of your expensive flat onto the vista beyond - through orange squiggles? You're sat in your flat, looking out through orange squiggles. Who exactly do they anticipate spending money on those flats with those squiggles? Sorry to keep repeating the obvious, but I honestly can't get over what a monstrosity they've built, and they will pack up, go elsewhere, and leave all of us to live with it going forward. Sure if they had it in their neighbourhood, they'd be up in arms, yet we're supposed to lump yet another Ealing decision of ugliness for Acton. The High Street Entrance...well, surprised they didn't add orange squiggles to the front there, and be done with the whole thing. We can only hope the inside lives up to something - orange squiggle-free hopefully - otherwise, this will be one heck of a mess this had ended up. |
