| " Fred, do you put the lids on so they fire out, like we did with Smartie tubes? :) " No Becky No lids on any of the plastic bottles in my white recycle sack. When collection days comes around, I evaluate whether I should put my sack out that week, then . . . . 1) Once full, prior to compression, close the recycle sack lid (they have a velcro thingy) 2) Endeavour to maximise any available space within the white plastic recycle sack, with intent to eject as much air as possible from any plastic carrier sacks and plastic bottles enclosed within, by means of compression (stamp on it and jump on it) 3) Quickly evaluate whether or not sufficient free space has been reclaimed within the white plastic recycle sack to render making it available for collection that week pointless. 4) Repeat weekly until risk of bursting the seams of the white plastic recycle sack is equal to the risk of jumping on it and breaking my neck. 5) Make white plastic recycle sack available for collection 6) Repeat process above |
