I have spent 14 months and 3 different EPC surveyors attempting to get an accurate EPC report. Even after raising complaints those reports have significant inaccurate data. EPC surveyors have all failed to properly check loft insulation or cavity wall insulation just "assume"and say not installed. Most don't even have a ladder to access loft! One surveyor spent only 5 minutes to complete the entire flat survey! Ealing Homes(ealing council) don't even have records that the loft and wall insulation is already installed so I have no documented evidence to prove this. I assure you it is installed already. Anyone recommend a professional EPC surveyor, who if necessary, go to the level of entering the loft and/or drilling holes into the brickwork to check that infill wall insulation is installed.? For those leaseholders living in flats, check out online Gov.uk EPC postcode search.... take a look at the conflicting reports for the same building! its a redtape box ticking lottery. Be warned when having these EPC inspections...
